Method
- Gather and prep everything first: soy sauce, sesame oil, fresh ginger and set within reach of the stove.
- Set a wide pan over medium heat and sweat the fresh ginger in a little butter until translucent.
- Add the black pepper and let it ginger-scallion, undisturbed, so it takes on real color before you stir.
- Fold in the soy sauce and season generously; give everything a minute to come together.
- Off the heat, brighten it up with toasted nuts and a final crack of pepper.
- Plate it up while hot and pass extra at the table.
